variations with winnie and walter

That Kaleidoscope background stamp came to my aid again today. I made two cards with the same design, however with variations a la Shay's challenge for WCMD over at Winnie and Walter. I used the Cutaway Hi die for both.

Here's the first, feminine and floral version. Some sloppy watercoloring to mimic roses. Stamped "birthday girl" on the inside.

And then a masculine version. Kept the embossing tone on tone and used a striped PP for the dimensional die cut. Stamped "birthday boy" on the inside.

Amazing how colors and techniques can make such a difference in the same design! Fun stuff. Great idea for a challenge, Shay.

  1. Fabulous, Maria ... soft, lovely pink florals ... cool, handsome monochrome and stripes ... love them both! Hugs, Anita :)

  2. Gorgeous cards! Really, I don't know which one I like more - love the imitation roses and the beautiful glint of the embossing on black! I choose them both! :D
