altenew watercolor wonders

We interrupt the Shakespearean Punk programming for a couple days - stick around for some Christmas goodness coming your way end of this week in the STAMPlorations Christmas Release hop. It'll be CAS, not weird ;)

Last night mojo happened. Have you seen the Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop put together by Altenew? What a fabulous idea honoring 18 challenges we know and love. And tons of inspiration. So when DH sat down with the TV for a soccer game (anyone else remember when soccer on TV was only a Saturday event?!?!?!) I sat down with Watercolor Wonders - you know, that stamp set you just had to have cuz everyone was getting it. But then were too intimidated to use!

So I headed to the product page and was inspired by DT cards by Tasnim and Aga. Just gave them a little twist of my own.

First up a soft aqua version, inspired by the shabby chic Pin-Sights challenge at Ellen Hutson and stamped with a layer of Delicata gold to bring in some elegance cuz the top right photo gave me a wedding vibe.

I used SSS Sea Glass (for the first and second layers on the two larger blooms) and Adirondack Aqua for the darker blooms which then got the second layer in gold. The brown leaves were inked with Adirondack Hazelnut with a touch of DI Gathered Twigs. The sentiment is Many Thanks from Essentials by Ellen.

My second card uses the Color Throwdown colors (oops, guess the challenge is actually over).

I brought in some sketchy blooms from Wild Hibiscus (iconic Altenew IMO) and a sentiment from Persian Motifs. Which card do you prefer?  Thanks for visiting. I think there will be more...
